Axial Systems provides support and services to ensure you get the most out of your technology.

Axial Systems has developed a programme of QuickStart Training Courses to ensure our customers get the most out of their new investment from day one.

  • Scheduled courses:  These courses are held at our training facilities in Maidenhead and are run by one of the Axial Systems in-house technical team who has experience in deploying and using the technology.  Click on the course details below for further information, course dates and registration.
  • On Demand Training:  For small groups we can also provide additional training courses on demand either in our Maidenhead training facilities or on-site at one of your locations. In the past this has included private sessions for individual companies, or courses focused on more unusual technologies.  Contact us to discuss the options.

 

AirMagnet Training

Course Level: Introductory
Duration: 1 Day
Time: 9:30 am - 4:30 pm

Overview

This one day course is designed for customers who have purchased AirMagnet products. The course is delivered through a combination of lecture based instruction, in conjunction with many hands-on exercises designed to reinforce knowledge of key wireless administration skills. This class covers 802.11a, b/g and n networks.

Course Content

You will work with the following AirMagnet Products: WiFi Analyser, Survey & Planner, Spectrum XT.

Prerequisites

If you are running WinNT, 2000 or XP you MUST have systems Administrator privileges. Please make sure you have this BEFORE bringing the laptop. Customer must bring their laptops with the software pre-installed. It may be possible to arrange for loan equipment from Axial. Please see your account manager to arrange. The software will only run on supported hardware.

Overview

This one day course is designed for customers who have purchased an Aruba mobility controller and access points. The course is delivered through a combination of lecture based instruction, in conjunction with many hands-on exercises designed to reinforce the student's knowledge of Aruba. The course is based upon ArubaOS 5.

Prerequisites

An understanding of wireless network and the surrounding technology.

PacketShaper Training

Course Level: Introductory

Overview

This hands-on one day course is designed for system administrators, technical support staff and IT Managers. The course is delivered through a combination of lecture based instruction, in conjunction with hands-on exercises designed to introduce Blue Coat PacketShaper to complete novices and re-enforce existing knowledge to already knowledgeable customers.

Course Content

It will provide a solid grounding in the fundamental technologies, protocols and concepts essential to understanding how to implement & utilise Blue Coat PacketShaper.

Prerequisites

There are no pre-requisites for this course.

McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) Training

Course Level: Introductory

Overview

This hands-on one day course is designed for professionals who want to understand, manage and protect their LANs with ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO). The course is delivered through a combination of lecture based instruction, in conjunction with many hands-on exercises designed to reinforce the student's knowledge of key ePO administration skills.

Course Content

Participants are introduced to the concepts of risk management with ePO, ideas and methods of managing systems within ePO on a day to day basis, new concepts introduced to ePO 4.5 and methods of utilising these techniques. Training PCs will be provided running VM images for the practical lab-work.

Prerequisites

Before taking this course participants should have a general understanding of LAN technologies and topologies as well as a basic understanding of Windows, NT Domains and Active Directory. A basic knowledge of previous versions of ePO is preferred.

This hands-on one day course is designed for professionals who want to learn how to effectively use the Gigamon GigaVue devices in a logical step by step process as an administration tool to assist with network troubleshooting and reporting tool infrastructure. The course is delivered through a combination of lecture based instruction, in conjunction with many hands-on exercises designed to reinforce the student's knowledge of required skills.

Course Content

Participants are introduced to the technology, its installation, and some effective techniques to quickly resolve problems and troubleshoot.

Prerequisites

Before taking this course participants should have a general understanding of LAN technologies, network topologies and the principle concepts for network capturing.

Course Level: Introductory

Overview

This course discusses the configuration of Secure Access (SA) products in a typical network environment. Key topics include SSL access technologies, basic implementation, and configuration and management options. Through demonstrations and hands-on labs, students will gain experience in configuring, testing and troubleshooting basic facets of the SA products.

Prerequisites

This course assumes that students have moderate background in internet working basics, security concepts, network administration and application support.

nGenius Performance Manager Training

Overview

This hands-on one day course is designed for professionals who want to learn how to effectively use the NetScout nGenius Performance Manager in a logical step-by-step process as a network troubleshooting and reporting tool. The course is delivered through a combination of lecture based instruction, in conjunction with many hands-on exercises designed to reinforce the student's knowledge.

Course Content

Participants are introduced to effective techniques to quickly resolve problems in networks and methods to use Performance Manager to proactively monitor and baseline networks.

Prerequisites

Before taking this course participants should have a general understanding of LAN technologies and topologies.
