The newest INTELLAPATCH switching family, the Series 3000, supports faster data rates as they evolve with cutting-edge network technologies – including 10 Gbps Ethernet and 8 Gbps Fibre Channel – and also supports high performance SFP+ optics allowing for higher port density and less power consumption.

The Series 3000 continues to innovate with its fault-tolerant dual controller cards. Unlike switches with single controllers that can halt network operations during a failure, the Series 3000 has high availability failover allowing it to be used in-line in the production network of an enterprise or test lab environment.

These switches also feature higher-density blades – offering up to 36 ports each in a 1U height. For example, those with tight space constraints will now be able to have 288 ports of non-blocking, any-to-any switching architecture available in a compact 8U height – the same port count at less than half the height offered by the Series 2000.

The Series 2000 family represents the original INTELLAPATCH switch, providing up to 16 ports per blade in a 1-inch blade height. The product line is available in five chassis sizes, ranging from 16 to 288 ports each.

Chassis feature hot-swappable blades and transceivers, and all offer non-blocking, any-to-any switching architecture. With a compact design that saves valuable rack space, INTELLAPATCH Series 2000 chassis provide up to 288 ports of any-to-any connectivity, always at full wire-line speed.

The Series 2000 chassis can be populated with any Series 2000 blade including 1, 2, 4 and 10 Gbps Fibre Channel, Ethernet from 10 Mbps to 10 Gbps, T1/E1/J1, DS3/E3/STS-1, SONET/SDH, FDDI and digital video.
