Bring Your Own Device Seminar
The presentations from this event are now available at the foot of this page.
On Thursday 22 March Axial Systems held a seminar to investigate and discuss some of the key security concerns surrounding Bring Your Own Device (BYOD). This event was put on for anyone considering the best way to accommodate BYOD within the wider context of enterprise security.
The impact of BYOD on enterprise security
The rapid adoption of smart phones, tablets and laptops in the consumer market has led to a dramatic increase in the number of unmanaged devices being brought to work. As a result more and more end-users are requesting to connect their personal devices to corporate network infrastructure and resources.
The benefits of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) do present a compelling driver for change, but the challenge for network and security professionals is to provide this additional service whilst maintaining the highest standards of network security and data protection.
Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Security Seminar
Together with our security partners McAfee, Aruba, ForeScout and Swivel we were looking at how to address some core BYOD security concerns:
Visibility - who is on my network and what are they doing?
Control - how can I prevent unwanted behaviour and enforce corporate policy?
Complexity - how much work will BYOD create for the security team?
