PINsafe
PINsafe is a flexible solution that offers a wide range of authentication models. The use of the patented one-time code extraction protocol means that PINsafe can offer both single and multi-channel and single and multi-factor authentication solutions. A feature of its design is that the full range of authentication models is available to every PINsafe server, allowing for different users on the same PINsafe server to have different authentication models. Products - Principles of PINsafe
PINsafe is a multi-factor authentication system. The core of the solution is the Swivel one-time code (OTC) extraction protocol whereby a user is sent a security string, the user then combines this security string with their PIN number to derive a one-time code. They then use this one-time code to authenticate themselves. The strength of this system is that the user needs both the security string and their PIN in order to authenticate. The one-time code extraction protocol is simple to use, the PIN determines which characters are to be used and in which order, for the one-time code. Products - Technical Specifications
PINsafe can be provided as software only for customer/resellers to deploy on their own hardware platform. In this instance PINsafe will be provided along with the third party software components it requires. PINsafe can run on most server-level operating systems including LINUX based operating systems and Windows Server 2003. PINsafe can also be supplied as an appliance with the PINsafe server pre-loaded. The hardware platform for the appliance is a Dell Power Edge server; it can be supplied with either a Red Hat ELS OS or a Windows 2003 Web Edition OS. Authentication Type:

Products - Integration
PINsafe is design to integrate to your existing IT infrastructure. It can import users from an existing user database such as Active Directory (AD). PINsafe will assign users rights based on their group-memberships within AD; therefore different user groups can be allocated different rights within PINsafe, some maybe able to authenticate via the TURing image, others via SMS. Integration with other IT infrastructure is via a range of open interfaces. PINsafe has an in-built RADIUS server that allows it to service RADIUS based authentication requests; this is supported by the vast majority of VPN products which makes PINsafe an ideal authentication solution for remote access.
